Allie Socher Named Next Business Manager

Oostburg School District is pleased to announce that Allie Socher has been selected as the district’s next Business Manager. Allie, currently a middle school math teacher, will finish out her year at OMS teaching math and will begin the role on July 1 following Kris DeBruine's retirement at the end of the 2026-27 school year.

The district conducted an extensive search process, interviewing five candidates before narrowing the field to two finalists, with Allie being approved by the school board to start in her new role on July 1st.

With the decision made well in advance, Allie will have the opportunity to spend the remainder of the school year working alongside Kris and learning the responsibilities of the Business Manager role. This extended transition is designed to provide continuity and ensure a smooth handoff of the district’s financial operations.
