School Board

The Board of Education exists for the purpose of providing a system of free, public education for children in grades PK-12. The School Board believes that education is a continuous process that prepares students for quality life experiences in an ever changing and competitive world. Our district is entrusted with among the most important responsibilities and authorities allowed under law – that of helping to educate the youth and to serve as advocates for all students. As a public school district, we believe in educating the "whole child" by providing an innovative curriculum and a positive learning environment.

The School Board believes it is the school’s responsibility that all students should have equal educational opportunities. Further, we believe in promoting an active partnership with the family and community and in reinforcing positive values which enhance the quality of life and endorse responsible citizenship.

Oostburg School District holds its regular monthly  board meetings on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00pm in the Oostburg High School Innovation Room, 410 New York Avenue.  Public comments are welcome at all board meetings.
